Scars to Bare

Post by Reast Istoría Vu on Mon Nov 16, 2015 3:21 pm

The night had been no different than any other..Besides the fact that screams of this once calm tribe now filled the air. There were no crickets, no warnings..and most of all..No one around to stop her. Reast naturally was a talented fighter, but when darkness would take over..she was an unstoppable monster. The eclipse had done a number on all of them...and all in different ways. For Reast, she had gone calm while the Eclipse had taken place...but then the tainted abilities returned..The darkness returned. And when it returned, it took her entire being for a ride, drowning whatever humanity still lingered at the bottom of her corrupt heart.

Slashing her fingers into the neck of an attacking nearby wolf, Re began giggling softly. Foolish mutts never seemed to learn. Quickly turning her body, Re ducked down long enough to avoid the teeth of a warrior wolf, but still at the perfect time to also grab the wolves tail. Swinging the wolf by the tail, Re easily smashed them back against the tree. Blood sprung across the air like it was confetti. Re watched the blood paint the trees and grass around her. It wasn't confetti...Anyone knew that...but Re couldn't even sense a difference anymore.. If there was blood...there certainly was something to celebrate.

It had been several months now since the Eclipse, and still Re couldn't seem to get a grasp of reality. She was stuck in a limbo world where two figures sat on her shoulder. One figure with the wings of an angel...The other with the horns of a demon. Both telling her what is right and what is wrong..The only difference was, it seemed the angel had been silenced...Leaving only one influence within Re's never halting mind.

Bringing her hands up in front of her, Re caught the mouth of a incoming trainer wolf. Slowly pulling the jaw apart from the skull, Re smiled slowly as the ripping rang in the air. This wasn't a fight that was going on...This was a massacre. These wolves had never stood a chance when Re was in control...Which meant now that she was lost....It was haunting...But they all had their scars to bare. And Re's was herself..

Looking around, Re began humming softly to herself. She approached a tree with almost no care with what surrounded her. It was over...The bodies of wolves surrounded the camp ground, though this wasn't all of them. Usually such an event would release Re, make her feel soothed again..But the pit was still empty...she still craved more..

She wasn't sure how she'd finally managed it, but Alyana had finally tracked down Reast. She wasn't sure what had happened to Rowan, Alice, or Rowan's dad, but she knew she's be able to find Reast if she kept going at it. Of course she'd enlisted the help of several others in her quest, and began getting better at her manipulation that she'd been when she first met Re.

Somehow Aly wasn't that surprised to finally come face-to-face with Reast at the camp of what used to be Path Pack. She'd heard rumors Reast tried to help them, but they hadn't been all too happy about it. Something about over-throwing leaders, betraying their ranks, blah blah blah.. Wolves had never been her favorite animal.

She knew word travelled fast around the supernatural spectrum of things, but she didn't think the knews of Reast would be so accurate. As Alyana finally cut her way through the last of the underbrush with her short sword, emerging into a bloody clearing, littered with gore and fur.

"Yuck.. Was all this really necessary?" She spoke shortly, making her way towards the only standing figure. Aly knew Re would be dangerous, but she kept on. She thought maybe Reast just needed someone to be on her side.

Though Re knew of the new presence among the shredded, mangled, bodies...Re didn't bother to look back just yet. Instead her gray tinted eyes watched the shimmering stars above. They seemed so untainted by the dreadful world below...a world destroyed by monsters most would say. But those very monsters would disagree. This was a world made by monsters. Nothing great is created by doing nothing...First there had to be war.

Turning slowly to face the woman, Re launched a dagger from her finger tips. Barely missing Aly, the dagger hit a man who had approached  Aly from behind. "Human hunters." Re phased in front of the fallen human man, putting her foot on the head and removing he dagger. "Are you ready for a fight?" Re didn't look at Aly even still, instead she stood straight up and allowed her eyes to scan the forest around them. Humans never hunted alone...And usually they hunted with guns...

Taking a couple steps away from the dead man, and from Aly, Re allowed the area around them to grow completely silent. It was always silent before the storm..And this was exactly how Re liked it. Since she had escaped from her chambers, Re hadn't been able to control her desire...her thirst...There was so much that Re craved, and in a world at war with Monsters...It was Re's time to feed. These humans would pay for what they were doing. The world would pay.

"In the short time we knew eachother, you definitely taught me to always be ready for a fight." Alyana stuck her hand out to the side, and a short sword easily formed within her grasp. In the months it had taken her to track down Reast, Aly had mastered her conjuring ability, at least for smaller objects that she'd seen before. She turned as Reast appeared behind her, gripping her sword in one hand, and envisioning a couple of throwing daggers in the other. Aly wasn't sure how many hunters would be coming, but had no doubt Reast could handle them on her own. Of course, it would be rude to sit back and watch.

A sincere smile formed across Re's lips as she then evaporated into the very air she once stood. Appearing in one of the tree's, Re wrapped her hands around the neck of a sniper that had been camouflaged by the trees. Raising him up, Re then smashed him through the very tree branch they were once rested upon. Crashing to the ground, Re flipped her entire body backwards to land back on her feet. "One, two, three..." Her voice echoed like this was some kind of game of hide and seek.. Laughing and clasping her hands together, her eyes remained as black as the night around them. "Twelve to find, and two down. Ten to go." The enthusiasm only seemed to rise as Re rocked on her heels.

Rocking anxiously, Re seemed to be waiting her turn..or waiting for the timer to run out...It was there few seconds to hide..."Four... Five... Six... Seven..." With each number rolling off her tongue, Re seemed to only be prepping herself more and more. There was excitement in the air, anticipation for the games to begin.

"Eight...Nine..Ten!" And with that Re instantly jumped onto another tree brach and cupped her hands around her lips toallow her voice to travel easier. "Ready or not! Here we come!" The game had begun. Th hunters had become the hunted.
